Did the Lord Jesus save us from our sins so we could serve and reach sinners? Or did he shed hid blood on Calvary's cross so we could sit on nice chairs and pews too hear the word of God but never really activate it in our life? Jesus saved us to seek, serve and reach the lost of our world. After a person has experienced the new birth, being baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost with the sign of speaking in tongues, which is necessary to go to heaven, the process of discipleship begins.
Discipleship includes being taught about this new way of living and working in the world but not being conformed to the world's ways. In a church setting, sitting and learning is needful. A person needs opportunities to grow in faith and show their growth through serving others. Working in the church on various committees, auxiliaries, departments and groups helps a person grow through collaboration and teambuilding. But all this time we should be excited about the salvation we have obtained to the point we are concerned about the eternal state of other people, which spurs us on to compel them to be saved.
Jesus wants his children to grow. He wants the church to grow. After 3 years of being saved Bishop GT Haywood (the 1st Presiding Bishop of the PAW), would send faithful ministers and their families out to plant churches. The process of salvation begins with the new birth, continues with being taught and discipled, goes onto soulwinning, then make disciples and ultimately reproduce this process by planting a church.
This is an endless cycle that is being perfected. It it exciting because every persons life is a magnification of God's glory. We are saved to actively serve not inactively sit. The stool of do nothing is a piece of furniture that does not belong in the household of Faith.

When is the last time you personally won a soul?

Jesus said. " Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.

If your not fishing for men then who are you following?
